Did you choose the cashsend option to receive your Sassa grant and still have yet to receive it? Here is what you can do if your Sassa grant has been delayed.
The South African Social Security Agency (Sassa) released an announcement regarding the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) payment delays that the cashsend beneficiaries have been experiencing. Here is what they had to say.
Beneficiaries who chose the cashsend payment option and have pay dates on their status are encouraged to contact the bank they have selected. If they have not yet received a voucher from their bank or mistakenly deleted the message, they should request for the bank to resend the voucher.
The voucher allows beneficiaries to access their grants from the bank they have chosen. If they do not have a voucher, they will not be able to receive their SRD grant.
Beneficiaries may have selected ABSA, TYME BANK, NEDBANK, FNB, or Standard Bank to receive their Sassa grants. These individuals may contact their banks on the numbers listed below.
Here are the bank contact details for cash send inquiries:
- ABSA – 0800000122
- TYME BANK – 0860 999 119
- NEDBANK – 0800 555 111
- FNB – 0875 759 405
- Standard Bank – 0860 466 639
Grant recipients who have chosen the cash send option and have no payment dates on the SRD application status are encouraged to submit their banking details instead. These beneficiaries, unfortunately, failed the mobile number verification which is essential for the cashsend option.
By submitting their bank details, they will be able to receive their SRD grant straight into their bank accounts. Beneficiaries are advised not to submit someone else’s bank details because the agency will not deposit their grant into someone else’s bank account.
The agency requires applicants to submit their bank details via the SRD grant website. Here is the SRD grant website link: https://srd.sassa.gov.za/.
